The solar park, developed by Blackfinch Energy and Enviromena Power Systems, spans 110 acres and generates 29,355 MWh annually, powering approximately 9500 homes while offsetting 6800 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. Operational since November 2022, it uses advanced solar modules and inverters from Jinko Solar and Huawei Technologies.
Adjacent to the solar farm is the Three Maids AD facility, operated by Acorn Bioenergy. The plant is scheduled to produce biomethane sufficient to heat over 9380 homes by using organic waste and rotational feedstocks. The facility supports local agriculture by providing nutrient-rich bio-fertiliser and reduces the reliance on synthetic alternatives. This closed-loop approach contributes to energy security and environmental sustainability, while creating jobs within the rural supply chain.
